Mobile energy storage systems make it possible to use energy flexibly and independently of a fixed power grid. This is particularly important in remote areas, for mobile applications such as construction sites and events, or in disaster situations where a temporary energy supply is required. Thanks to their high mobility, these storage units can be brought to where they are needed at short notice.
As part of the renewal of the streetcar tracks on Wiedner Hauptstraße in Vienna, the partners of the “maxE” project demonstrated in June 2024 how the daily energy requirements can be covered with battery-powered vehicles and machines.
Our mobile energy storage system was tested: Experience to date shows that already two thirds of greenhouse gas emissions can be saved on electrified construction sites.
The use of green energy and mobile energy storage systems on construction sites is key to a more sustainable, efficient and environmentally friendly construction industry. They help to reduce emissions, cut costs, increase flexibility and independence, and reduce noise and air pollution. With increasing pressure on companies to work more sustainably and the development of new regulations, these technologies will be essential on construction sites.
The Linz Junior Marathon was the ideal opportunity for us to set an example of using green energy and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come. With our VOLTSTATION®, we were not only able to ensure a smooth power supply, but also contribute to establishing emission-free, quiet and clean energy sources as the standard for events.
